Friends of Brower Park

Friends of Brower Park is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit that partners with the NYC Parks Department, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, Brooklyn Children’s Museum and the NYC Compost Project hosted at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens.

Brower Park opened in 1892 as a 4 acre treed parkland. Today it is  a 7 acre natural world oasis surrounded by an urban streetscape. Friends of Brower Park volunteers and community service high school and college groups help care for the park’s green infrastructure and provide staffing for recreational and educational events.
